Prep English Group Rhyme Competition

Recitation is one of the most important and effective modes of learning a language and appreciating a piece of literature. Poem Recitation is a mode of expression, a medium to reflect the latent talents of the young ones. Competitions play a significant role in shaping and motivating children to perform to the best of their capabilities and learn varied skills for the all-round development of their personality. The main purpose behind conducting such competitions is to build self-confidence, and team spirit, and develop oratory skills and self-expression. Keeping in mind the holistic development of the children, the Foundation Stage- 1 of Ahlcon International School, organized the English Group Rhyme Competition for Prep Classes on Wednesday, 27^th September 2023.

The competition inspired the young Ahlconites to come forward and recite the rhymes together enthusiastically with full actions and expressions on stage. The students came up with different rhymes on the theme of ‘SDG’ aiming to create better ways of life without destroying the environment and resources for the future. They recited the rhymes with great fondness and zeal. The audience was spellbound by seeing their perfection of expression, thoughts, emotions, rhythm, and music of words. The confidence shown by each one of them was commendable. The event was highly appreciated by the Headmistress, Ms. Pooja Shandilya who encouraged them with her motivating words and shared that “All children deserve a huge round of applause as they all are the winners for presenting rhyme so confidently.’
